Ein Gedi

November 12, 2019

After spending five nights in Tel Aviv, I was eager to return to nature. While Tel Aviv has magnificent beaches and eclectic neighborhoods, I wanted to go hiking. Ten months into my trip, I had been doing some form of hiking multiple times a week. Being surrounded by cars, buses, bicycles and people was overwhelming and frustrating…

Aix-les-Bains

May 15, 2019

French train rides really are stunning. If you can catch a good price for a ride, I think it’s worth riding the trains just for fun. After 7 hours of train travel with a transfer from Gare de Montparnasse to Gare de Lyon in Paris, I would arrive in the spa town of Aix-Les-Bains. The views out of the window are incredible and, of course, the grand stations are historical. While I was in La Rochelle, I was researching all of the HI hostels in the region of my Workaway in Macon, because I had a few days to kill before my arrival…

Recovered photos: My trip to Laos

May 7, 2019

As mentioned in my previous post, after recovering 700 photos from my iPhone backup, I was able to remember what I actually did in Laos with my friend Richard (from Singapore). Some of the photos exhibit such glorious nature that I wanted to write another Laos post to share the beauty with you. The sad part of the story is that Laos has dangerous roads. Maybe taking public buses would have been safer than having a private driver? I’ll never know.

Malaga & Alora

December 25, 2018

Malaga was the beginning of a multi-week long experience in southern Spain. I would travel through the mountains of Andalucia and see the highlights of region. My friend A, from New York, was studying Spanish in Malaga. We decided to meet up there and explore the area around Malaga together…

Port Vila, Vanuatu

June 15, 2018

Vanuatu is a newly independent country, only since 1980.  Each of it's islands has different nature and associated tribes.  The capital, Port Vila, is located on Efate Island.  I spent a few days touring around the Port Vila area and checking out the nature highlights of Efate.  I did not go too far from Port Vila as my private taxi driver I hired for the day did not want to drive so far.  I saw most of the highlights on this day but it was a real struggle getting the driver to go where I wanted…

What the fuck? It took all of this for Congress to step up??? As in they could have started working towards solutions years ago?? And this isn’t some local or state-level only situation? Our politicians SUCK.

This is what I look like today in portrait mode. 🤩 Life in Vienna was rough for the first 3 months. The next 2 months got better. Now things are legitimately very good. This is the challenge I wanted and whelp, I got it!

Thank you to everyone sup
Arrived in Novi Sad, Serbia #travel
Making my way to Belgrade via Szeged, Hungary. The first building is the opera house from the end of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. #travel
A short Sunday trip to a forest 20 minutes north of Vienna, along one of the Danube offshoots.
Architectural highlights of Vienna, taken over the last few weeks.
20 minutes north of Vienna is the charming town of Klosterneuburg. Easy train trip with beautiful hiking and good Schweinrostbraten.
Was here a few weeks ago. This is not the view from the city center but from a bridge about a 15 walk from the center.
Lunch view. The building in the foreground was rebuilt by the Rockefeller Foundation in the 1930s. #history #archaeology #athens #greece
